- Etec were contracted to carry out a full fit out of the Monsoon shop in Westfield Shopping Centre, Stratford
- Our team carried out multiple consultative processes, including several workshops to gain an accurate understanding of the client's preferences and requirements
- Full protection was erected between public areas and the works with strict access control
- We carried out a full strip of the existing premises
- The congested site meant it was not possible to segregate waste for recycling on site. To mitigate this we arranged for our waste contractor to collect waste and segregate it off site at a later date
- We also operated a 'just in time' delivery schedule for materials. This meant materials were used immediately following delivery thereby eliminating the need for storage
- All finishes and decorations were carried out with handover completed in time for trading to resume
Challenges and Solutions
- The logistics of this fit out were somewhat challenging as the shopping centre remained in full use throughout
- This made aspects of the noisier work difficult. We devised a programme that worked around busy periods to minimise disruption and ensure those using and working at Westfield were not inconvenienced
- We made use of out of hours working to allow us to complete works more efficiently
