TfL Seven Sisters Market
Key Features
Etec acted as Principal Contractor for the complex refurbishment of Seven Sisters Market in South Tottenham, transforming a key community hub with high public footfall.
The £4.9m project was delivered in three phases and included demolition works, full refurbishment of the indoor market, including the creation of 20 retail units, and a new external market and food court designed in a ‘Boxpark’-style arrangement using 20 converted shipping containers.
CAT A refurbishments were also undertaken to the remaining residential and commercial spaces.
The works took place directly above Seven Sisters Station, requiring intricate sequencing, stakeholder engagement, and strict health and safety coordination throughout.
